How to get your Itemised Billing

If you’re with Vodacom you either receive your bills in the post or via email. However the easiest way to get your bills is to download them yourself from Vodacom’s very simple online portal.

If you already use this portal then you probably already know how easy it is to download and save your monthly bills in PDF. If you’ve never used it before, don’t worry; it couldn’t be easier to register for access.

Step 1: Click on ‘Register’ and then fill in your personal details as required

Step 2: Once you’re registered log in with your cell phone number and password

Step 3: Select ‘My Billing’ and then ‘Billed Reports’ on the left side menu

Step 4: To view your itemised bills click on ‘Itemised Billing Report’, select the month you want to see and then ‘View Report’

Step 5: When your itemised billing report pops up, click on ‘Download’, select PDF as the option and then click on ‘Export’

Step 6: Your itemised bill will now appear and you will be able to save it on your computer

Step 7: Repeat this process for as many months of itemised billing as you need and then do the same for your monthly invoices

If you’re currently receiving your bills via email, then you’ll know they come encrypted, which is a bit of a mission and it requires a special application to open and view your bills.

It’s even more of a mission to actually download the right bills in the right format so if you currently pay for and receive itemised billing then rather go online and download your bills straight from the Vodacom portal. You can register for free and get your bills really easily.

If you’re determined to do it the hard way or can only access your bills via email then here’s how to view and download your bills:

Step 1: Open the email and click on the link to install the encrypt reader – follow the instructions to install

Step 2: After installing the reader you will be able to open the .efa file attached to the email. Alternatively you may be asked to save the attachment before opening.

Step 3: Your bills will open up in your browser using the encrypt reader

Step 4: Click on View Invoice to see your invoice

Step 5: Click on View Invoice to see your invoice

Step 6: Click on Itemised Billing to view your itemised billing

Step 7: Click View CSV to download the itemised billing in .csv format

You’re now ready to upload your bills and find the perfect package! Note: If you’re uploading multiple months of billing to Tariffic then you’ll need to do this for all the months you want to upload. Please make sure you don’t forget to give us both the invoice that you saved as a PDF as well as the itemised billing that you downloaded in .csv.

Unfortunately Tariffic doesn’t work with hard copy paper bills, so if you’re currently receiving yours in the post, you’re going to need to go online and download them in PDF from your Vodacom portal. Don’t worry its really easy to do and absolutely free.

I don’t pay for itemised billing, so now what?

Do you only get a monthly statement and invoice from Vodacom because you don’t pay to receive the itemised billing that contains the detailed records of all the calls you make, SMSs you send and data you use?

If this is the case then don’t worry, all you need to do is contact Vodacom’s customer care on 082 111, get hold of an operator and request your last 3 months of itemised billing be emailed to you. Vodacom will charge you for each month requested and add the cost to the next month’s invoice.

Make sure whoever you’re speaking to understands that you do not want to activate itemised billing and continue paying for it every month - you only want it for the last three months.
