AUTOPAGE HAS CLOSED. WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE YOU?

So…. You’ve always used Autopage for your corporate contracts… And now it’s closed! What does this mean for your business? And where to from here?

After having once been a major player in the South African cellular landscape, Altech Autopage Cellular finally shut its doors in March 2016.

Autopage’s cellular subscriber bases have been sold to MTN, Cell C and Vodacom and their stores have either shut or been taken over by other service providers for re-branding.

So, what does this mean for me?

If you were once an Autopage client, your account has now been transferred directly to Vodacom, Cell C, or MTN. Your cellphone bills will now come from one of them, and if you have any support questions, you’ll have to contact the Vodacom, Cell C, and MTN call centres to help you out.

For example, if you had an MTN contract with Autopage, that contract will now reside with MTN. You will be billed by MTN, have to contact MTN for support, and speak to MTN about anything else you may need.

But what if your business has multiple contracts with multiple service providers?

In this case, you would now have multiple business accounts, one with each service provider. Quite a lot to manage isn’t it?
